Punta Gorda Historical Society
In 1983, a group of concerned citizens organized for the purpose of protecting and preserving the history of Punta Gorda for future generations. Since that time the Punta Gorda Historical Society has worked tirelessly to do just that.
Charlotte County Historical Museum
Offering a variety of programs and services to educate the community about the rich history of the Charlotte County area while preserving and protecting the County’s historical resources for future public use.
History Park Farmer’s Market

Blanchard House Museum
The Blanchard House Museum, established in 2004, was the vision of Bernice Andrews Russell. Mrs. Russell was a humanitarian, social activist, and historian for the African American community. She felt it was important to document the history and contributions of African Americans in Charlotte County.
Punta Gorda Historic Mural Society
Established in 1994, the Punta Gorda Historic Mural Society (PGHMS) is a non-profit, 501c(3) organization managed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. With strong Community support the PGHMS has created 29 murals throughout our city.
